This beautiful 4 inch wired plaid ribbon combines soft green, warm brown, burgundy and black with fine metallic accents woven throughout. The palette is wonderfully muted, giving it the character of a traditional tartan without the bright primary colors often associated with holiday plaid.

It is classic enough for Christmas, but we love that it doesn't feel exclusively Christmas.

The soft greens and earthy browns make it equally at home among autumn branches, winter evergreens and the quieter decorating that carries a house from the holidays into January, February and early spring.

Why We Chose It

The colors remind us of old upholstery, wool throws, antique tartans and the layered patterns of a Country House interior. There is enough metallic thread to catch candlelight and make it feel special, but the overall effect remains warm and beautifully traditional.

And at 4 inches wide, it is an incredibly useful scale. Use alone or pair with solids and jewels in additional sizes. 

How We'd Style It

For Christmas, tuck it among cedar, pine and magnolia and pair it with burgundy or deep green velvet. Add antique gold, brass bells, dried fruit or berries for a traditional holiday look that feels collected rather than themed.
