This extraordinary 4 inch wired velvet ribbon is edged on both sides with an ornate jeweled trim resembling a row of tiny stylized flowers. Metallic embroidery surrounds faceted stones, creating a border that catches the light beautifully against the richness of the velvet. Faux pearls and faux jewels. 

Available in Emerald or Ivory, each color has an entirely different personality.

Emerald is deep, dramatic and wonderfully festive.

Ivory is luminous, romantic and almost antique in feeling.

Why We Chose It

We love embellishment when it feels special enough to earn its place.

Here, the jeweled border almost resembles decorative embroidery found on an old evening coat or elaborate passementerie. Against the simplicity of the velvet, it becomes the focal point.
And because the ribbon is a generous 4 inches wide, very little else is needed.

This is not necessarily a ribbon we would bury beneath six other patterns. We would let it have the room to be noticed.

How We'd Style It

Emerald

For Christmas, we would pair the emerald with magnolia, cedar and deep evergreen, then bring in burgundy, antique gold, tartan or rich red velvet. The jeweled edge gives it enough sparkle for a formal tree or mantel while the green velvet keeps it grounded in traditional holiday decorating.

Spectacular for Nutcracker Christmas, especially with jewel tones, old gold, colorful ornaments and touches of theatrical grandeur.

And we love it for an elegant Country House Christmas, where one extraordinary ribbon can live alongside old brass, fruit, greenery and collected ornaments without making the room feel overly coordinated.

Ivory / Cream

The cream is softer and perhaps even more versatile.

We would use it with magnolia, champagne, faded pink, plum, burgundy, antique silver and old gold. It could be magnificent for Christmas, but it also has a romantic quality that carries beautifully into winter decorating, Valentine's Day, weddings and special celebrations. Considering a winter wedding?  This ribbon would be everything. 

Against dark evergreen, the cream almost glows.
