Heritage Equestrian Plaid Wired Ribbon 2.5 Inch

A beautifully muted plaid in soft green, warm brown, burgundy and black, woven with fine metallic accents and finished with a warm gold reverse.

This one immediately reminded us of old tartans, wool throws and the layered textiles of an English country house. The colors are rich without being bright, making it especially beautiful for autumn, Christmas and the quieter weeks of winter that follow.

The metallic detail catches the light just enough while the earthy palette keeps the overall effect warm, traditional and collected.

Why We Chose It

There is something distinctly equestrian about this plaid. It feels as though it could just as easily belong on an old wool blanket or upholstered chair as it does in a Christmas wreath.

We particularly love that it gives you the character of a traditional tartan without relying on the brighter reds and greens usually associated with holiday plaid.

How We’d Style It

For Christmas, pair it with cedar, pine or magnolia and layer it with burgundy, deep green or chocolate velvet. Antique gold, brass bells, pinecones and dried oranges would all feel perfectly at home alongside it.

After Christmas, let the richer holiday elements fall away and keep the plaid among evergreen, bare branches, ivy, moss and dried hydrangea. Its muted coloring allows it to move beautifully into winter without looking like leftover Christmas decor.
